Parents put up with a lot. The effort for a husband and wife to work efficiently as a team is challenging in itself, but when they become parents it's a whole new ballgame. Suddenly endless amounts of energy are expelled towards the children rather than for themselves, which can cause a lot of parents to lose their sense of self.

Before, it was all about finding a work-life balance. Now, it's all about finding a balance between kids, work AND life! So, it's understandable that parents will struggle to find that perfect balance. Of course, once we grow up parents are able to take back a lot of their lives…and they didn't have to have us in the first place if we are really such burdens. The biggest thing we see here is that everyone here could do a better job showing appreciation for our parents. These people had much more interesting lives before having us…let them have some of that back!
